~ THE HCG WEIGHT LOSS PROTOCOL ~
~ THE DIET PHASE ~
Phase 1: Day 1 and Day 2: Binge and begin taking HCG
The binge phase starts by eating foods high in fats. Many people have a hard time believing this phase is important because of what we think we know about weight loss. Binging on the first two days is CRUCIAL to supply the body with abnormal fat reserves which supplies the body with the nutrients it needs on the 500 calorie diet. This also helps with hunger while on the diet especially during the first week. The HCG is then targeted toward the stored fat cells and not the lean muscle cells ensuring successful weight loss.

~ THE DIET PHASE ~


Phase 1: Day 1 and Day 2: Binge and begin taking HCG

This also helps with hunger while on the diet especially during the first week. Phase 2: Day 3 – 40 (max): Begin STRICT 500 calorie diet and continue taking the HCG drops

Phase 2 starts on day 3 and can continue for a minimum of 23 days to a maximum of 40 days. This phase is when you begin the 500 calories per day diet. You begin the day taking the HCG drops 30 minutes before or after drinking. You can drink water, coffee or tea with Stevia sweetener (I prefer the liquid Stevia to the powder). We have also found Yoli to be a great kick-start to your day and ok to drink on the diet (www.drgray.goyoli.com). During the day you may have a total of 2 proteins, 2 fruits, 2 crackers and 2 vegetables.


~ THE MAINTENANCE PHASE ~

Phase 3: The Day After You Stop Taking the HCG drops ~ For the First 3 Weeks
This phase is by far THE MOST IMPORTANT PHASE as long as Phase 2 was followed correctly. This is the phase where you have the opportunity to change your metabolism and “lock-in” your new weight. This is also where you can reset your new eating and craving habits. If you would like to maintain your new weight it is CRITICAL that you follow the protocol for this phase.

This phase starts the day after you stop taking the HCG drops and continues for 3 weeks. You MUST EAT A MINIMUM OF 1500 calories per day. Slowly start adding other foods EXCEPT starches and sugars. So basically you can eat proteins, fruits, vegetables, eggs, yogurt, dairy products, nuts, etc. (No pasta, rice, potatoes, bread, pizza, desserts, etc.). Watch your portion size – don’t go crazy!

Weigh yourself every day to make sure that you are within 2 lbs of your last weight while on the HCG drops (weigh yourself in the morning before you get ready for the day). If you gain more than 2 lbs from your last HCG drops day weight then do a steak day or an apple day.

Personally I found that starting (or increasing the intensity of) a cardio routine really helped me get through this phase. It was amazing how much easier it was to run 35 pounds lighter and I felt great! In fact, not only was it great motivation for me, but I started to crave the workout. Find something active that you enjoy doing and do it as often as you can (at least once a day).

Phase 4: The Final Phase – 2nd Three Weeks and Beyond
This is when you SLOWLY start bringing sugars and starches back into your diet. Watch your portion size, sauces and sugars included in the foods you eat. Now you are aware of all the things in food to watch out for. Stick to healthier food choices and more natural foods. You did it! You made it! You will maintain as long as you continue an exercise routine and eat smart. You should be able to maintain your weight while eating normally (as long as you don’t go back to eating huge portions, and meals chocked full of fats, oils and sugars). Be smart about what you eat. Congratulations!

For those of you who want or need to lose more weight, you can start the diet protocol after 3 weeks of Phase 4 (Six weeks after stopping the HCG). At that time you would start another round of HCG and follow the same protocol of Phase 1 – 4, beginning with another 2 day binge.
